NOTES
Additional Information:Washington School was constructed in 1957 with a classroom addition completed in 1968; the building served as a public elementary school until 2006. This Contemporary building is T-shaped in plan with brick walls and flat roofs over each of its various one- and two-story building masses. The front elevation faces north and is asymmetrical in composition with a wide, semi-circular, flat-roofed canopy at the east end of the façade denoting the original bus drop-off/pick-up location. The primary entrance is located west of this and is comprised of metal-framed glass doors sheltered under an overhanging flat roof. Windows throughout the building are located in full-height, vertical strips, which contain opaque paneling above and below single-pane awning and fixed-sash windows. The building currently serves as a nondenominational church.
