| Additional Information: | 2021: This two-story, frame, c.1880 Italianate house has a T-plan with a one-story gable extension to the rear, and a shed-roof addition at the northeast corner. The complex roof is covered in seamed metal, and has wide eaves supported by scrolled brackets, and a central brick chimney. Walls are clad in horizontal wood clapboard, and a mansard-roof box bay on the side (east) elevation has scalloped shingles. The foundation is stone. The front (south) facade has a gable wall dormer with a decorative bargeboard, frieze, and multi-light window, and paired windows on the second story. The offset entry porch is balanced by a box bay window. Both have asphalt shingle-clad hip roofs and elaborate trim details, including paired scrolled brackets, turned posts, dentils, modillions, and spindlework. Windows have wood surrounds with molding and zig-zag trim, and are wood fixed or one-over-one hung sash units with metal storms. Outbuildings include a c.1970, detached, side-gable, three-car garage located along the alley, and a c.1970 gambrel-roof metal shed near the rear of the house. |
