| Additional Information: | The Jackson Hotel was constructed in 1880 in a Boomtown style. It is irregular in plan due to a large 2007 addition to the east elevation and features aluminum siding and an asphalt-shingled gable roof with a peaked parapet along the front wall. The front elevation faces south and the original building façade is symmetrical in plan with a cantilevered hipped roof spanning the first story. Below this is a central front door flanked by 1-over-1 windows. Most of the wall at the first story façade is clad in vinyl siding suggesting that much of this space was previously open to shop windows. The second story contains two 1-over-1 windows. The west elevation contains a 1-story, hipped-roof porch along its back (north) half. A 1-story, vinyl-sided addition constructed in 2007 projects from the building’s east elevation; the primary façade of the addition contains a square, single-pane fixed-sash window and a pair of metal-framed glass doors below an irregularly-shaped parapet. |
