It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Constructed by Milwaukee Public School's Division of Municipal Recreation and Adult Education in 1925. Approximately 13 acres in area, and includes active recreation spaces such as tennis courts, baseball diamonds, wading pool and playground equipment. Aerial photography taken in 1937 shows the existence of the tennis courts, the central baseball field, and what appears to be an oval track or play area in the southwest corner. |
