| Additional Information: | This 1-story Twentieth Century Commercial style garage was constructed in 1940. It is rectangular in plan with brick walls and a metal-clad front gable roof that contains vertical wood board siding under the gables. The front elevation faces north and is asymmetrical in plan with a large garage bay comprising the western half of the facade and a large window opening in the eastern half. The window openings has been filled with vinyl siding and two new single-pane windows. The garage is enclosed by a newer, metal, overhead garage door. Vertical brick bands run the height of the front wall at each corner and in the center of the elevation. Each of these has a small diamond-shaped stone detail near the top. Two rectangular signs below the roofline read "CLARK CO HIWAY" and "GARAGE N03 1940." 2023: Building is scheduled for demolition to make way for the construction of a new, centrally located Clark County Highway Department facility. |
