| Additional Information: | This c.1880 former one-room schoohouse has a raised stone foundation, brick cladding, and hip roof sheathed with asphalt shingles. The facade features a pair of round arch doors with wood canopies and a large central window opening that has been downsized and fitted with a replacement window. The purpose of the two doors would have been to separate boys and girls entering the school. Lean-tos have been added to each side of the building that together have greatly altered the massing and more than doubled the original footprint. The building is currently used as a residence, and it is presumed that these additions occurred as a result of this change in use. |
