| Additional Information: | The farmstead appears on historic atlases as early as 1901 under the ownership of I. Derusha before passing to Henry Kramer by 1914. The farm retains eleven outbuildings from the historic period that effectively convey its use as a dairy farm: a dairy barn [227220], a milk house [227221], a silo [227222], a second livestock barn [227223], two corn cribs [227224 and 227225], two machine sheds [227226 and 227227], a chicken coop [227228], a third barn [227229], and an additional shed [227230]. However, the farmhouse [227219] is modern and does not contribute to the farmstead's original use or feeling. The ca. 1901 silo (AHI #227222) is located off of the northern corner of the dairy barn. The concrete structure has a metal domed roof. |
