| Additional Information: | 2013- "Rising two stories, this side-gabled, Colonial Revival-style house is sheathed with clapboard. A central entrance is outlined by fluted pilasters and sheltered by an open, gabled porch. Windows throughout the house are symmetrically arranged and consist of six-over-six-light sashes; the second-floor examples of which appear to be replacements. Located in Wurster Subdivision and built circa 1936, the home’s original owner-occupants were Edward and Ethel Wollenzien. The 1940 census identifies Edward as a sheet metal worker; he and Ethel had at least two sons, Thomas and Daniel. The Wollenzeins lived here through at least 1964." - "W Morgan Ave, W Forest Home Ave to S 43rd St", WisDOT ID #2405-00-04", Prepared by Heritage Research, Ltd (Schnell) (2013). |
