| Additional Information: | SANBORN MAPS SHOW A ONE-STORY HOUSE ON THIS SITE IN 1904 AND A TWO-STORY HOUSE IN 1912 SO EITHER A NEW HOUSE WAS BUILT IN BETWEEN OR A SECOND STORY WAS ADDED TO AN OLDER HOUSE. Sanborn Maps and directories suggest a circa-1910 construction date. The first known occupant, in 1915-16, was Arthur Hetzel, owner of the Badger Syrup & Extract Company, but it is not known if he was the owner. Directories indicate a significant turnover of occupants, which suggests that it was a rental property for much of its history. |
