It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. 2011- Currie Park Golf Course was established in 1927 in Currie Park (established in 1918) as a 27-hole course. The course features manicured lawns and greens, golf cart paths, commemorative signage, pedestrian and golf cart bridges, and a rolled asphault parking area. Deciduous trees and open areas are found throughout the park. The Currie Park Golf Course was established in 1927 on land formally used as the first small public airport in Milwaukee County. The 18-hole course was designed by George Hansen. The clubhouse and other buildings on the course were constructed in 1955. |
