| Additional Information: | WIDE CORNICE BAND,PEAKED ARCH LINTELS NARROW CNR PILASTERS SQUARE PORCH SUPPORTS W/ FLARED MOULDED CAPS 2022 - This Two-Story Cube was constructed in 1876. The primary elevation faces southeast, with a pyramidal, asphalt-shingled roof and a coursed fieldstone foundation. The house is clad in wooden clapboards. The entrance is located in the center of the first story beneath a low-slope hipped roof porch, supported by square posts topped with molded capitals and a modern balustrade. The entrance is flanked by two one-over-one double hung windows, with three not-quite-evenly spaced windows in the second story above. An oriel bay is located on the first story of the southwestern elevation, and there is a secondary entrance sheltered by a small portico on the northeast elevation. Window and door surrounds throughout are topped with shallow wooden pediments, and the house features a wide wooden cornice. Windows throughout appear to be vinyl replacements. There is a one-story addition to the rear (northwest) elevation of the house, and a garage constructed in 1925 has been recently reclad with vinyl siding. |
