| Additional Information: | A 'site file' titled "Upper Lone Tree Farm Estate Historic District" exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation. THIS IS ONE OF FOUR IDENTICAL HOUSE BUILT IN 1915-1916 TO HOUSE THE HERDSMEN WHO MANAGED THE GUERNSEY HERD OF VICTOR LAWSON'S LONE TREE FARM ESTATE. This one just north of herdsman’s house #2 (AHI #147863). It is identical to house #1 (AHI #147862), except that the front porch retains the original open configuration with Doric columns, and the c. 1945 enclosed entry porch appears at the south end of the east (rear) elevation. It matches the entry porch on house #2. The floor plans are the same as those of house #1. House #3 has served the same uses as house #1, except that it has been vacant since 2018 |
