| Additional Information: | 2007- "Located on the south side of WIS 29 Uust east of WIS 49), the farmstead is comprised of a residence and three contributing outbuildings (two barns and one unknown structure), in addition to several non-contributing outbuildings (modern pole barn, garage and silos). For the purpose of this discussion, only the contributing outbuildings will be described below. The residence is situated closest to WIS 29, and is a ca. 1910, two-story building with aT-Pian layout. The house is presently sided in vinyl. The foundation is presently covered with applications of cement. The cross-gable roof is covered in asphalt shingles. Cosmetic and structural changes to the house include modified front and rear porches (the rear porch has been enlarged through a small addition); replaced windows and doors; and vinyl replacement siding, which has altered the fenestration. Approximately five outbuildings are located at this farmstead, three contributing structures and two modern structures, all of which are situated south and east of the residence. The three contributing outbuildings are a ca. 1915 gambrel-roof barn, a ca. 1920 arched-roof barn, and a ca. 1915 saltbox-roof outbuilding. The gambrel-roof barn is of frame construction and is the biggest outbuilding located at the farmstead. It has been further enlarged by several structural additions, including an arched-roof addition on the east elevation, a gabled-roof addition on the north elevation, and a concrete block addition on the west elevation. Silos are also attached to the barn's south elevation. The second of the three contributing outbuildings is an arched-roof barn, which is also of frame construction. It features original diamond-paned and 2/2 double-hung wood windows. The last of the three primary outbuildings is a saltbox-roof outbuilding, which is also of frame construction. It may have been removed from its original location, as it now has a cinder block foundation. It too has original double-hung wood windows and frame doors. The two non-contributing outbuildings are a garage and pole barn, both of modern construction." -"Ringle, Bevent, Hatley, Misson Lake, Birnamwood, Wittenburg", WisDOT #1053-09-06, Prepared by Rachel Bankowitz, (2007). THIS FARMSTEAD IS COMPRISED OF A RESIDENCE AND SEVERAL CONTRIBUTING OUTBUILDINGS (TWO BARNS AND ONE UNKNOWN STRUCTURE), AND SEVERAL NON-CONTRIBUTING OUTBUILDINGS (MODERN POLE BARN, GARAGE AND SILOS). THE HOUSE HAS A T-PLAN LAYOUT, WITH AN UNKNOWN FOUNDATION (PRESENTLY COVERED). ALTERATIONS INCLUDE A MODIFIED FRONT PORCH AND REAR PORCH, REPLACED WINDOWS AND DOORS, VINYL SIDING, AND THE FENESTRATION HAS BEEN ALTERED. APPROX. FIVE OUTBUILDINGS ARE LOCATED AT THE FARMSTEAD, OF WHICH ONLY TRHEE ARE CONTRIBUGINT - CA. 1915 GAMBREL-ROOF BARN, CA. 1920 ARCHED-ROOF BARN, AND A CA. 1915 SALTBOX-ROOF OUTBUILDING. THE OTHER TWO ARE OF MODERN CONSTRUCTION. |
