| Additional Information: | This marble monument is the second of two WWI memorials in McCoy Memorial Park (the other is a likeness of a WWI doughboy). The marble monument was erected in 1939, by the Service Star Legion, a war mothers' organization. The monument reads, "IN MEMORY OF THOSE WHO SERVED IN THE WORLD WAR/1917-1918/ERECTED BY SERVICE STAR LEGION INC/JEFFERSON COUNTY CHAPTER, FORT ATKINSON, WISC/1938." |
