NOTES
Additional Information:This building was demolished.

Damaged by fire 8/91.

The remodelled facade is a good and typical example of the glazed, polychromed, terra-cotta facing of the period. Used as a modernizing cover-up, this superficial treatment features art-deco geometric ornament, polished granite wainscoting, and nickel-plated picture window frames. Also typical of the period is the stores name, "Neisner's", set in the entrance-way terrazzo in metal.

GEOMETRIC STRING COURSE ALONG PARAPET SIMILAR TO KAISER'S STOREFRONT (218 6TH ST) BY FRANK F. HOFFMAN. COMPLETELY ALTERED 1ST FLR FRONT.

NEISEN BROTHERS ARRIVED IN RACINE IN 1927 AND LEFT IN 1971.
