According to the National Register nomination form, the grocery was originally a contributing part of the Vine/Reservoir Historic District (listed: 8/2/1984). Locally designated: 11/12/1985. One story brick structure cut into the side of the hill so the storefront would be at street level. The entry is a center two steps up from the street. The store windows are boarded over, they were transomed. The roof is flat with a monitor false front. There are stone caps on the top and bottom of the front facade walls giving a pilaster effect. There are small decorative elements in the midshaft of these piers. |
