SUMMARY
This district includes the near east side residential district of 150 large-scale homes built between 1850 and 1932 in Italianate, Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, and Prairie School styles that were home to Beloit's prominent citizens. The district also includes 17 buildings of the Beloit College campus, a group of effigy mounds on the campus, and the original public square, now called Horace White Park.
