Obey at Ground Zero
Florida Congressman Bill Young (left) and Wisconsin Congressman David R. Obey at the intersection of Vesey Street and the West Side Highway, ground zero for the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center. As, respectively, the Republican chair and ranking Democratic, they were at the site to see the damage first-hand. Behind them are the ruins of World Trade Center Building 6 (WTC6) and the debris pile of the North Tower. The National Guard soldier is unidentified. |
