Union Civil War Draft Notice

A Commissioner's Notice of the draft, beginning on the first of September. On the first two days, claims of exemption from military service were to be heard. On the 3rd, the draft would begin, to continue from day to day until completed. The commissioner's name was James S. Ritchie. |
