Dessicated Cat Mascot, Anubis
Ellen MacQuarrie (later Ellen Wilson), a journalist at the "Milwaukee Journal" and the wife of Gordon MacQuarrie, looking at Anubis, the dessicated cat that is the mascot of the Milwaukee Press Club. The fossilized cat was stolen from the State Historical Society of Wisconsin in 1897 and later appeared at the Press Club. The man with Mrs. MacQuarrie is unidentified. |
