ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The original typewritten caption reads, "Model S International Motor Truck owned by Zieglers Furniture Store, Syracuse, New York, and shown in front of the store in process of being loaded. This motor truck has been in service since March 1, 1923, and it was estimated at the time of taking the photograph March 22, 1925, that its total mileage exceeded 25,000 miles. The speedometer had failed to register after 15,100 miles. Zieglers operate one of the largest furniture houses in Syracuse. The motor truck is utilized chiefly to haul furniture, rugs, etc. The driver, George Sauter, told how he hauled 6500 pounds of linoleum from the freight house in one trip. He also told about making one trip of 251 miles in 13 hours with a capacity load one way. He also stated that the motor truck was on the road throughout the entire winter in all kinds of weather. The body of the truck is of a brown color with gold leaf letters. Mr. Sauter estimated that the mileage on one gallon of gas averaged 13 to 14 miles. He changes the crankcase oil about every 700 miles and keeps the truck well greased. Ziegler's consider International service high class. No trouble is experienced with the truck at all. The truck is in use every working day. Mr. Sauter keeps the truck in very good shape and allows no one but himself to drive it. He told how it is still running on three of its original tires. One of the rear tires has never been off the wheel."
