A Sauk County traffic police vehicle leads a line of circus wagons through past two church buildings during a parade originating at Circus World Museum in Baraboo. The 25 circus wagons were carried on the beds of International trucks. |

The photograph originally appeared in "International Trail" magazine Volume 33, Number 4 in an article entitled: "The Circus Parade Comes to Town." The original caption reads: "Value of colorful cargo which International trucks carried was estimated at $500 thousand. Up to time of this late-June caravan, seen wending down Milwaukee streets, wagons had not left Baraboo for a circus celebration since 1918." |
