This exhibit entitled "Pharmacies U.S.A." greeted nearly one-half million visitors at the main entrance of the U.S. Pavilions at the International Trade Fair, Zagreb, Yugoslavia, September 10-25, 1960. The series of panels, developed by the Office of International Trade Fairs, U.S. Department of Commerce, with the technical assistance of the American Pharmaceutical Association, traces the history of American Pharmacy, and presents a pictorial view of the many types of pharmacies common in the U.S.A. today, including typical photographs of an exclusive prescription pharmacy, a hospital pharmacy, and a small town "corner drug store." |
