In the background a shepherd is sitting with 3 sheep, an angel is in the upper left corner, and stars and passion flowers are throughout. The caption within the background reads: "In Ex-cel-si-s. Glor-ia, A-men." A border frames the card. In the top of the border are the words: "The Lord of all good Christians was of a women born." Right side: "Now all your sorrows he doth heal your sins he taketh away." Left side: "God rest ye all good Christians upon this blessed morn." At the foot: "For Jesus Christ your savior was born on Christmas Day." Chromolithograph. On the back of the card within a geometric/floral design it announces that this card won the "Prange's American 1st prize Christmas card by Rosina Emmett" worth $1,000.00.
