Alligator Attack
Humorous posed photograph of a woman in a wagon being attacked by an alligator. The alligator is stuffed and propped against the side of the wagon. The woman sits with her hands up as if frightened. H.R. Grochau points a gun at the animal, while A.M. Fenton holds a gun like a club. The African-American guide holds his hands up as if frightened. Another African-American man at the right of the image holds the horn of the cow that is hitched to the wagon. The scene takes place near a stone wall and gate. |
