Madison Airport and Midwest Air Transport Airplanes
Midwest Air Transport planes in front of the hangar at the Madison Airport. Located northeast of the city near the Oscar Mayer plant, the field was sometimes referred to as North Street Airport. Pilots of the Midwest Air Transport Service are posed in front of each airplane. Also in clear view is the tower of the airport's 24-inch rotating beacon. The Midwest Air Transport Service was out of business by 1933. |
