President Franklin Roosevelt and Winston Churchill at Quebec
Prime Minister Winston Churchill greets President Franklin Roosevelt as he is about to exit his vehicle for their meeting at Quebec. This was their second meeting at Quebec at which decisions were made about the occupation of a defeated Germany, British support for the war in the Pacific, and continued aid to Britain. UPI reporter Merriman Smith, who is looking down at his notebook, can be seen between the two leaders. |
