Wisconsin State Capitol's East Gallery
Interior of the east gallery of the Wisconsin State Capitol. By 1911, the commission learned that the quarry that supplied the red granite for the piers on the first floor of the Rotunda was nearly exhausted. At Post's urging the commission quickly procured enough of the red granite to complete the remaing piers and preserve the critical sense of geometry. |
