Original caption reads: "Scale model of the McCormick "Bindlochine." Experimental stage, 1890-1891; Commercial production, 1892-1895. Shown as built in 1892. This represents a "low-down" type binder, with the binding apparatus on a level with the platform. Part of the McCormick Historical Association Collections received by the State Historical Society in November, 1951." Image was likely taken for a series of feature stories on McCormick models published in the Wisconsin State Journal, Dec. 12, 1952 to Feb. 1, 1953.
