The Old Powder House
The Old Powder House, the original site from 1770. A stone building was erected in 1920 in honor of the Pilgrims' descendants and their fight for American Independence. There is a plaque on the side of the building that reads, "The Old Powder House was built here in 1770. This building erected in 1920 is dedicated to those descendants of the pilgrims, by birth or of the spirit, who helped establish American independence. Massachusetts Society of the Sons of the American Revolution." |
