Original caption reads (in part): "C.J. Moericke, who is dealer at Marion in the Green Bay territory, was receiving scrap from farmers in a stock pile to the rear of his establishment. Shipments by motor truck from this pile were made to junk dealer at Appleton. Some 15 tons of scrap were in the pile when pictures were taken. Mr. Moericke said he figured on handling a total of about 40 tons. The community was also building up a pile." Similar images appeared in "Harvester World" magazine (June, 1942, pg. 8). |
