The original caption reads: "April 15, 1941 was the fifth anniversary of making their own electricity for both power and lights, and the plant was never out of service over five minutes at one time during working hours. Besides lights, power is furnished for the refrigeration compressors and to run the meat processing machines. The unit ran 9,600 hours without opening. There are a total of 110 h.p. motors (electric) in the plant. NOTE: A story was run about this plant about three years ago in "POWERTRAX" as per Mr. Jones." |
