Funerals for Glenn Frank Sr. and Jr. at the State Capitol
The caskets of University of Wisconsin president Glenn Frank and his son Glenn, Jr. are carried up the steps of the Monona Avenue entrance to the Wisconsin State Capitol for the state funeral services. The father and son died September 15, 1940 in an automobile accident south of Green Bay while campaigning for the Republican nomination for the United States Senate. On the left, carrying the casket of Glenn, Jr. are Fred J. Curran, Lawrence H. Fitzpatrick, Fred Graff, Harold E. McClelland, Richard Keeley, and Ralph Beck. Bearing Dr. Frank's casket on the right are Dr. Karver Puestow, Fred Holmes, Dean Chris L. Christensen, J. Ward Rector, Don Anderson, and Dr. Gunnar Gunderson. |
