On the same day this photograph was taken, Jackie Robinson was ejected from a game at Milwaukee County Stadium. After the ejection, he threw his bat toward the Dodger dugout in anger. The bat bounced into the stands and struck two fans and an usher. Robinson later called the injured parties to apologize personally. |
