H.D. Brainard Home at Lone Rock
View looking towards the front door in the room-sized entry hall in the home of Mr. and Mrs. H.D. Brainard. The home was the former 1878 "old Don Johnson farm" in Bear Valley, which the Brainard's purchased after the last member of the Johnson family died and willed the farm to the Salvation Army. The entry hall opens off both of the house's two living rooms and features floral wallpaper, a white stairway and a walnut banister. |
