P&H 20-Ton Traveling Crane in Machine Shop
Elevated view of shop floor of an early Pawling and Harnischfeger 20-ton type "N" dial controlled cab-operated traveling crane. The crane is in machine shop bay no. 1 at Nordberg Manufacturing Co. The stenciling on the crane reads "Pawling and Harnischfeger Builders Milwaukee, Wis. Capacity 40,000 Lbs." The plate on the back wall reads "Nordberg MFG. Co., Milwaukee, Wis." On the upper left wall, the words "[obscured]MPANY [obscured]CH PULLEYS ETC." are painted. There are men posing in suits, vests, and hats on the factory floor. There is a large gear on the floor, large windows line the wall on the right side, and a skylight is in the middle of the roof. |
