Logging with a TD-35 Crawler Tractor
Men with an International TD-35 TracTracTor (crawler tractor) engaged in logging operations. According to the original caption, the tractor "logs an average of 8 to 9 thousand board feet of lumber a week for C.R. Lee. The tractor can easily pull 25 logs averaging 35 feet in length. In a ten hour day the tractor makes twenty-five to thirty trips of from 200 yards to one-quarter mile (one way). Only a gallon of 8-cent Diesel fuel is used per hour. This tractor does the work of two smaller size sidtillate tractors formerly used, each of which used 1.5 gallons of fuel an hour." |
