Magnificent Excursion Str. J.S.
The sternwheel excursion, J.S., underway, taken between 1901 and 1910. The magnificent Excursion Str. J.S. burned on the evening of June 25, 1910. 1100 people were safely landed. Only two lives were lost. The burned hull of the boat lies in the bottom of the Mississippi River in the Bad Axe Bend bewteen Genoa and Victory, Wisconsin. |
