Raft Boats in Winter Quarters

Image

Elevated view of nine rafters wintering at Reed's Landing. At left is Hiram Price, with L.W. Crane beside her. Third is Annie Girdon with the Union behind her. Alongside the Annie Girdon is the L.W. Barden. Next to the Union is the Clyde, and next to it is a boat believed to be the St. Croix. At the extreme right is the Silas Wright, the only sternwheel rafter, all the rest are sidewheel rafters. Along the shoreline is a large raft of lumber.
