From the back of the photograph: Highway 2 on the Wisconsin side of the state line separating the state from Michigan. Started around 1936 by the Saari brothers, sons of a Montreal immigrant. While the camp, featuring an American adaptation of the Old Country steam bath, attracts every Finlander traveling on the highway, it has won a large following even among the non-Finns. |
