Taxi Drivers
Taxi cabs and their drivers are awaiting customers near the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad depot on East Wilson Street. In the center of the background at 643 East Wilson is the former residence and commercial building of William H. and Margaret Denison. They operated a "general teaming" business which specialized in "special piano moving," until about 1910. To the right is the former Eagle Hotel building, located at 631 East Wilson Street. Because of the railroad travelers, there were several hotels located in the vicinity. |
