FIELD TESTS are "NO GOOD" For a "No Good" Machine
An advertisement for the McCormick No. 4 Steel Mower in the December edition of The Farmer's Advance, a publication of the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company. The text sreads: "Field tests are 'No Good' for a 'No Good' machine," but goes on to say that "But for the McCormick No. 4 Steel Mower, the field test is always invited" and talks about the winning performance of the mower at a field test at the World's Fair in Wayne, Illinois. The advertisement also shows an illustration of a man driving a horse-pulled No. 4 steel mower. |
