GOP Convention Delegates
A group of Wisconsin Republicans, probably all supporters of the Presidential candidacy of Robert A. Taft, taken at the state convention in Milwaukee, June 13-14, 1952. Senator Richard M. Nixon, the keynote speaker, praised Senator Joseph R. McCarthy, and the convention went on to endorse McCarthy unanimously. Melvin Laird, who was running for his first term in Congress, is on the far left of the first row; Cy Phillips is on the far right of the same row. |
