| Campaign brochure issued by Robert M. La Follette, Jr., after his decision to return the Wisconsin Progressive Party to the Republican Party. The brochure reminded voters "This year it's the Primary that Counts: Vote for Bob La Follette in the Republican column, August 13th." La Follette's loss in the primary to the regular Republican Party candidate, Joseph R. McCarthy, ended the La Follette's 50 year hold on that senate seat. |
