Kennedy Mansfield Dairy Co. Horse-Drawn Delivery Service
Horse caretaker, Matt Marty, shown with Prince, one of the horses used to pull milk delivery wagons for Kennedy-Mansfield Dairy Company, 101 North Lake Street. The horses are being replaced by milk trucks, much to the disappointment of dairy workers and customers. The end of an era for horse-drawn milk wagons in the city of Madison. Madison dairies went on the every-other-day milk delivery which freed up the trucks for additional service. |
