The house was designed and built in 1874 by Walter Blythe at a price of $25,000. It originally belonged to Mr. George Murray, stock raiser and lumberman, and was later purchased by Attorney T.M. Kearney. The Murray-Kearney house was placed on the list of Racine Historical Buildings in November of 1976 and on the National Register of Historical Places in 1979. |
