ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The Octagon House, completed in 1854, was designed and built by John Richards, a pioneer Watertown settler. The Richards family and their descendants resided in the home until 1937, when it was purchased by the Watertown Historical Society. It has been open to the public as a museum since 1938.
