Bancroft Dairy Outdoor Bar
Bancroft Dairy "sidewalk fountain," 1010 South Park Street. Ruby Davenport and Dorothy Drifke are seated at an outdoor table. The table is covered by an umbrella and Ruby is holding her son Paul. Dorothy 's son Jim is in a stroller. "This is the first summer since the close of the war that we have been able to serve on the lawn," explained A.J. Sticha, manager, who says scarcity of ice cream resulted in this Bancroft Dairy service being abandoned during the war years. |
