The "Gar-How" was a wooden ferry constructed for Howard Russell in 1939 by August Wick and Emil Erickson. It was named after Howard Russells' two sons, Gary and Howard. This photograph is one of a collection of photographs collected by Hamilton Nelson Ross as research for his book, "La Pointe: Village Outpost". |
