This was the "first Bradley house," designed by architect Louis Sullivan in 1903 for Dr. Bradley of the Department of Physiological Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin. George Elmsley, one of Sullivan's associates at that time, collaborated in the design. In 1917, after he had left Sullivan, he designed the "second Bradley house" in Shorewood Hills. |
